I always get to distracted!! Between my grandmother visiting and final exams and the new semester starting and work crap... just UGH

I've started taking commissions for custom painted shoes. So any and all free time that I thought I had has been taken up by that. I don't mind that aspect to much because I actually like drawing and painting.

I've started seeing someone. So the few minutes of free time left over from school, work, and shoe painting goes to him xD Though he is taking a class with me in school so we hang out there a lot. OMG and can this guy cook!!!!! He made me dinner the other night and I'm telling you guys it was AMAZING!

Diary of a Fangirl: Heros of Cosplay and WTF is This Shit?!

I make it well known that I cosplay. I LOVE cosplay. I do not so it competitively nor do I ever plan to. I just like being able to portray my favorite characters. I know the show Heros of Cosplay is what it is... a reality show, and I know the creators are going to take some artistic liberties that's not my problem.. My problem is this shit

 

THIS SHIT RIGHT HERE

 

 

I.. I just....... I don't even have words for this shit.

 

This bitch obviously did NOT do her research on the topic she was writing about; nor did she even watch the show she is talking about BECAUSE IT HADN'T AIRED YET!

 

Saying that cosplay is crazy and weird (I think she called reenactments "nutty"). Does she not realize exactly how many people she just offended? Not all cosplay is competitive bitch. Some of us do it just to be a person we wish we could be. People who may be quiet and reserved can open up for once in their lives. They can meet people and make friends who have the same interests as them.

 

Hell my best friend met her current boyfriend at a convention.. in a freakin costume!!

 

Why do people have such a distorted perception of cosplayers? What did we do to freak people out? If you think we are crazy people that do weird things whilst in costume let me just tell you... we don't

 

Sure you have the people that actually do that. But for the most part cosplayers take to much pride in their work to ruin it.

 

You think we are weird... Bitch you're weird. Maybe you should get a hobby yourself and you won't be so judgemental...

Comic Review: Deadpool Kills Deadpool

WOHOO! Time to review another series. In my school induced depression I have taken to drowning myself in comics. How better to lift the spirits other than DEADPOOL!!

So far only two issues have been released. I believe there will be four or five in total. In the story so far the Deadpool Corps track down Deadpool because there is a Deadpool from another dimension trying to kill off all the other Deadpools.

If you don't really know much about Deadpool you may think that it's a huge clusterfuck of things going on.

 

One of my biggest praises for this series is the artwork (Salva Espin). The cover art alone is note worthy (Mike Del Mundo). Everything is just so pretty to look at. Even if you don't want to read it, it could make a wonderful picture book xD. It's dark when it needs to be dark and light when it's supposed to be comical.

 

ALL THE DEADPOOLS!

 

If I could change one thing, Deadpool don't have the voices in his head. Those are kind of a key thing for me. At the same time there are so many Deadpools that if you also added his other personalities it may have been a bit to much going on. So as much as I miss the voices I do think they made a good choice leaving them out.

 

Should you pick this up... YES. If you are a deadpool fan In any capacity you will like this.

Diary of A Fangirl: Let Birthday Shenanigans Ensue!

It's not actually my birthday yet... Who cares though really?

 

Since I'm turning 21 (SWEET JESUS YES!) and it's the only birthday I will have ever really celebrated I'm going all out. Today officially marked the beginning of the count-down, and what better thing to do than nerd out?!

 

Me and bestest friend of 15 years went on an adventure. I guess I should explain what an adventure constitutes. Really It's anytime I get my lazy butt out of the house and go do something fun.

 

This adventure was of the nerdiest kind!

 

We first stopped to get bubble tea because she has never had it before. That was just unacceptable! So we went to my favorite Asian bakery place for some tea and red bean buns (and to be given the funny stares as the only white people). Me and bubble tea get along real well.

UGH! The dreaded freaking words. I'm going on a diet...

 

I'm not over weight or anything, but I'm not the healthiest person alive. I eat a shit ton of junky greasy food, and I drink my body weight in soda every day. I'm skinny yes, only not the good kind.

 

Needless to say I don't look good in a bathing suit.

 

I've started seeing a new guy as well.... and I actually really like him. Yeah there may have been one or two interests in between, but they didn't have much going for them. This dude I really want to impress. He understands my nerdiness T.T!

 

Anyways, He's not the reason I'm doing this. He is the reason I noticed how lax I have been getting. No No he didn't call me fat before people start thinking that. I just really want to impress him.. so yeah

 

This is going to be one of the shittiest months of my life. Like hell I'm going to give up coffee though! You can take my soda but I'll be damned if you take all of my caffeine.

UPDATES!! : Seto Kaiba, Guns, and why Community College Sucks Ballzz

Why is it so gad damn difficult to be a "young adult".

 

Ok I guess I'm not really considered a young adult anymore. Being in my 20's and all... Oh shit I'm old ><

 

POINT BEING: life is expensive and that caught up with me. Got it sorted though. Mostly working my tukus off at work trying to make what I need to cover my bills. See I would have been fine and not had a care in the world, but I dated an asshole who decided to spend my money every chance he got. He's gone for a reason ^^ (Besides you know.. cheating on me and all..)

 

So where have I been? Family was visiting for the past 2 weeks so I had to spend what time I could with them in between school and work.. which isn't much time let me tell you.

 

Also didn't help that I had my final exams last week. I never thought the American Government could bore me more than it already does. YOU HEAR THAT FBI?! CIA?!? HOME LAND SECURITY YOU'RE B.O.R.I.N.G.! I swear to cheese I know more about how the government works than the bloody president. I could run this bitch with my eyes closed.

 

Then upon completion of said summer classes I found out that my school raised the prices of their tuition AGAIN! God blessit don't they know I'm broke as it is? WTF am I paying a lab fee for? I'm not taking any class that requires a "lab" Bitch give me my $200 back >=[ I don't care if you are technically considered a 4 year college now. You don't offer any classes related to my area of study and you won't offer me grants because I'm not going there for computer engineering or what-have-you. Screw you!

 

Ok Happy thoughts happy thoughts...

 

I've also been working on my new cosplays. The first one that will be revealed is Seto Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh. No pictures yet sowwy! There won't be any until I finish the costume and can put up the progression set ^^ Just a side note though.... It looks badass!

GOD I wish I had the money to buy that... I... Just... Don't have 3K laying around. Even worse... They also had a Desert Eagle.... For 2K!! I could never use something like that but just to have it! That would be great.

 

Guns are one of my new favorite past time. I love shooting, I love handling the different kinds, trying different targets, and learning about them in general. I don't know much about anything but shit is it fun!

Disney's new Magic Bands

I got the chance to take part in beta testing for the new Magic Band system for Disney. It's also part of the new My Disney Experience.

 

So what are the Magic Bands?

 

Usually when you stay at Disney you have to carry your hotel card, your dining plan card, fastpasses, tickets, all that good stuff. The idea for the Magic Bands are to combine all of that.

 

It's a wristband that you can customize by picking a color and they will engrave your name on it. (I didn't get to since I was just a beta) You can go online to My Disney Experience LINK and you can add your hotel, make reservations at restaurants, and  pick your fastpasses. You can also add charging ability.

 

When you go to open the door to your hotel room you touch the Mickey head on the band to the Mickey head on the lock, Or when you go to pay for something there are new swipe machines that also have the Mickey face that you touch with the band.

 

It's actually really cool! You don't have to keep track of all this crap, and if you need to change or check on anything you can go to one of the kiosks in the park, OR even better they have an app that you can download to manage your account.

 

The only thing I think is a downside is you only get 3 fastpasses per day. There is no way you can get more than three. You have to sign up for them ahead of time and there are only so many for each ride, so if you don't pick enough in advance then you probably won't get them for the rides that you want. I at least think that you should be able to get more than three. Even if they charge extra per pass that you want to get.

 

Other than that this is great! Awesomely high tech. The band itself is waterproof and you can wear it to sleep. Unless you are actually trying to lose it chances are it will stay on your persons the whole time. They are made to withstand the water parks.

 

This won't actually be a thing for a while yet. They are still going through a LOT of testing to work out some of the kinks, but from my experience with it I would give it an 8/10. Since I didn't do the dining plan option I cannot give it points for that, and there was one touch point (That's what they call the Mickey face) it took me an my brother a couple tries to get it to read.

Deadpool was the first comic book character that I actually started getting into. Technically I started with Batman TAS, but with that I only watched the show I never actually got into the comic book. The Deadpool comics were the first comic books I ever bought. (P.s. the pictures don't show the whole collection. There is more at various friends houses)

 

I have a special love for Deadpool and when I heard he was getting a game I almost flipped my shit... Ok I did flip my shit (Sony studios I'm look at you to make this movie happen..)... (Not that Sony would/is making a Deadpool movie... I just like what they did with Amazing Spiderman... I can see it now DEADPOOL Directed by Mark Webb written by Joss Whedon)

 

Anyways Deadpool is voiced by the same guy who voices Desmond is Assassins Creed. He also did Deadpool for Marvel Vs. Capcom and Spiderman Shattered Dimensions. So He's not new to the deadpool thing. +5 points for that.

 

The things that made me cringe when I heard about this game was that High Moon studios who did the Transformers games, and Activision Who's done.. a lot of stuff. I was nervous to see if this would be good or not. I was so damn happy when the Batman Arkham games turned out to be so badass. This is Deadpools time to shine.. It NEEDED to be good!

 

AND IT IS!!

 

I am pleasantly surprised at how much fun I had playing this game! The controls were easy to pick up, The story line was fun and kept me laughing. And just like in normal Deadpool manner he breaks the 4th wall constantly. The graphics were amazing as well. I'd say Batman quality. Yes I'm going to compare this to Batman because Batman gave comic book games a new look. As Deadpool takes damage his suit tears and you can see muscles and bones. As he heals up he literally heals up! Great detail.

 

Overall I would give it a 9/10. There could be some minor game play improvements, but other than that I would highly recommend you play this game!

 

 

Comic Review: Lazarus

Usually when I buy a comic it's something that's I've heard of before. I'll stick to a character that I am comfortable with and know that I will like. Wanting to expand my comic base I picked up something that I thought could be good.

 

.... OK I got it because the cover looks pretty...

 

 

I mean c'mon! That's some beautiful cover art.

 

My judgy-ness aside This book is pretty damn cool. In the first few pages this chick dies.. Just just shot the hell up!.. It's ok though. She comes back.

 

This girl (They call he Forever at one point) keeps all of the information for her family. She is head of security and it's her job to make sure that everything runs smoothly.

 

The easiest way for me to describe how the government is set up is to compare it back to medieval days. These families are top shit. If you are not in the family you are call "Waste".

 

For my first foray away from super heroes I'm pleasantly surprised.

How to Deal With a Girl on Her Period.

THE POST OF DOOM!!

 

Yes I'm going to try and make this as simple as I can.... How to take care of a girl who is on her period/PMS.

 

First things first PMS and a period are two different thing. PMS can be either Post or Pre menstrual cycle. During this time THERE IS NO BLEEDING. If you insinuate otherwise you are in for an ass kicking.

 

ALSO.. never assume that when a girl is angry or sad that she is PMSing.. Again.. asking for an ass kicking.

 

PMS will happen around the week before an actual period. Then the period will last about a week. Finally Post isn't actually as bad for most people.

 

During PMS there is bloating, cramps, vomiting, .... umm.... sometimes lots of diareah, food cravings, and your favorite MOOD SWINGS :D Now. She is going to have the worlds worst self esteem during this time. The best thing you can do is tell her how amazing she is (Do NOT just comment on how she looks). Bonus points if you can make her laugh! Make sure there is some kind of sugary food around. Chocolate does very well, if she doesn't like chocolate you better find out what she does like because that will save your life someday.

 

For cramping! Midol is always good. Most pain relievers will do the trick. Have her lie down with a heating pad placed under her lower back, or on top of her with the center part between her hip bones. BONUS POINTS! When you are cuddling or just on the couch if you wrap your arm around her and use your hand as a heating pad. It's friggin adorable and I swear it works better than a heating pad. Use just a little bit of pressure or move your hand around, both work just as well.

 

If she is vomiting or pooping it is most likely because of the cramps. If this happens take a few towels (Or something you can was off easy) and put them in the dryer. Once they are warm give them to her in the bathroom. If she is sick she will most likely also have the chills. This will take care of that problem. Next make sure she has ice cold water. No gatorade or any of that shit. If she is hungry dry toast or crackers.

 

Bloating there is nothing you can do about. Same thing if she gets acne. The best you can do for that is just to NEVER point it out. Never.... and I mean N.E.V.E.R.!!

 

Moving on. During the period a girl can get very cranky. She will not want to get out of bed most mornings. Ready for the best kept secret... are you ready??

 

BE NICE!

 

Holy hell guys. Just be nice. Dont' make fun of her, don't point out obvious things, and don't be a god damn jerk. Periods are some serious shit. Our body is shedding itself of dead tissue and blood. If you think dealing with us is hell try bleeding out of your penis every month. Does that sound fun? No? Didn't think so. The easier this time is on us the easier it is on you.

 

Seems like a fair trade to me.

Diary of a Fangirl... Why is Shit so Expensive! and Desolation of Smaug

There is nothing wrong with being a fangirl. I'm all for more girls getting into the comic book superhero thing! (If you are going to get into it get into it because you love it... not because it "popular"... please) I've noticed though... It's hard to be a fangirl!!

 

First of all... Shit is expensive!! I've only been collecting a year and I have probably spent well over a few grand. It's all in artwork, videos, comics, figures, clothing, random stuff that I know I'll never use but I want anyways....

 

Like I have next to my computer desk the desk that has all my things and there really isn't a whole lot. Then I look at my bank account and immediately want to cry myself to sleep.

 

I guess to find a bright side to this at least my hobby isn't car collecting, or i dunno... precious stone hording??? Is that even a thing?

 

... I do like that show hoarders though. Those people are really funny the way they try and justify why they need to keep all the things xD (Says the girl who collects batman merch like it's crack.) If the people from that show ever came to my house I would probably crack the door and start hissing at them.

 

 

I would like to see them TRY and take my shit.

 

ERRMAGEERD I'm thuper excited about the Desolation of Smaug trailer! I think Peter Jackson and J.J. Abrams were in a contest to see who could fit more awesome into a teaser trailer. Lets face it the trailers for Into Darkness were pretty badass and now The Hobbit trailer had me squealing like a bloody stuck pig! (I've been in the south to long)

In my past Star Wars post I said how much I LOVE star wars.... Just saying my fangirl self has conniptions. During my first trip I actually missed one of the reasons I went which is the 501st Legion. THESE GUYS ARE AWESOME!! They have the most amazing accurate costumes, and they act the part so well! Cosplaying at its finest ladies and gents.

 

I HAD to go back, and yes... I went back to Disney just so I could see 5 minutes of a parade... I'm just that cool... yo.

Star Wars Weekends: Take 1

OK so It has been made common knowledge that I am a nerd. When I use the term nerd I go by what John Green said in one of his videos:

MOVING ON!!

 

I went to Star Wars Weekends!! It was so Awesome and I had some super awesome moments!!

 

First of all I LOVE Star Wars. Mostly the original trilogy. 1,2 and 3, I don't really like and I DO NOT watch the clone wars... I'm a hardcore original trilogist (Making up words now!) and my greatest love through all of the movies are the Storm Troopers. I find them awesome and hilarious! My whole outfit for the even was storm trooper themed... Including my headphones of awesomeness.

 

 

 

The opening of the event!! They used to have Storm Troopers that would walk on top of the entrance to the park... But that's no more... sad face

They had a character meet and greet inside the merch shop. It rotated between Luke Leia C3PO and I'm not sure of they had R2. R2 used to appear with C3PO but we no see him.

 

 

 

I had to block out my friends face out of respect for her privacy.... So shut up.

At the center of the park they put up a stage and at various times throughout the day they would have characters go out and perform. We happened to walk by when Bobba Fett was on. Something really cool that happened, he noticed all my Storm Trooper gear and pointed at me and talked to me! I know he is on a recording but still!!! AND I have proof!!

Then THIS money shot while we were waiting in line for the photo opp. Another good story... The same Bobba Fett that was on the stage was the one we took the picture with !!!. AND he pointed at my shirt and headphones! BEST THING EVAR!

 

 

 

In the imperial zone they had Storm Troopers that would just walk around on the street. They were in a rotation so they were always out there. Same thing with the Clone Troopers and HOT DAMN DID THEY LOVE ME!!!

As we were in the line to see Vader (It was an hour and a half long) me and my friend got the bright idea to do something that we have never seen been done..... We knelt to Vader!! The WHOLE line started freaking out and taking pictures of us!! we glanced up at Vader and he was looking around confused, but I think he pulled off a good pimp stance.

 

 

 

 

 

Yes we went on Star Tours... Only once though because we both get motion sick.
