Weekend Update ~~ Yu-Gi-Oh and Olympics

Olympics FACK YEAH!!

I don't root for any specific team.. (except for mens football [soccer]... GO GERMANY) I just like to watch all of the different sports. Currently I am just sitting around watching mens vollyball. Honestly not my favorite sport. Just not very interesting to me.

I'm hoping they show more womens gymnastics when this match is over. My mother is freaking out because the world champion from America (Jordan Weiber or something) didn't do very good and has no chance of winning. I never really cared about her to begin with and it's nice to give the other girls a chance at winning. Yes it is nice to see your country win.... but in my opinion you cant win them all.

That is also the case for mens swimming (speedos.... YES :D) Michael Phelps had is moment in the spotlight... He won flippin 8 gaddamn medals. I don't think he should even be at this olympics personally. Open up his slot and give another guy a chance at making it. He got the opportunity to come back and now he's not doing very well.

There are many people who will slave their lives away to make it to these games and they never get a chance. They are good enough.... but when the teams are being picked they are looked over for the previous champions. I get the mentality of it all, but there are probably younger athletes who care a lot more about it than someone who has already won. Give them the opportunity to prove themselves.

In nerdy news:

I have ALWAYS loved Yu-Gi-Oh.... ALWAYS since they started showing it in America. It was super amazing when I found out that some of my friends also like to play... and I never thought that these guys would be interested in that. SOOOOO I started a new deck :D

My favorite character is Kaiba so naturally I would have a dragon dark light deck ^^ complete with a blue eyes. The sucky part is I need to expand my deck. Most of my cards revolve around my blue eyes and my red eyes. I need more trap cards that help put up a good defense. Im going to start doing my research and I will find those trap and magic cards if it kills me.. >=/

I am very determined to have a very good deck that I know I will win with.

The Dark Knight Rises-- Review Type Thing

**SPOILER ALERT**

So I went into this movie with very low expectations.. After Heath Ledger's amazing Joker I find it hard to follow that up with anything, and when I found out that the main villain for this installment would be Bane.... I was less than pleased.

For one thing there are MANY other villains that Nolan could have chosen from. For example I would have loved to see Croc or The Riddler, or maybe even a Poison Ivy cameo. Yet they went with Bane.

And no I don't consider "Catwoman" to be a bad guy in this movie. For one thing she didn't even have a "cat" outfit, and another there is no mention of cats ANYWHERE. Batman calls her a cat burglar I believe once throughout the whole movie.

So how was the acting in my opinion?

Not to bad in all honesty. I actually really liked Tom Hardy as Bane. He pulled it off well and was ALMOST as good as The Joker. He had that slight humor yet complete authority, and I really did believe the performance. So I guess in the end I am fine with the fact that Nolan picked Bane to be the bad guy.

Anne Hathaway..... hmmmm.... She wasn't bad, and I never have believed her to be a bad actor, I just didn't think she would make a good Catwoman. She did work well with Nolans take on the character though. She was elegant (like she usually is) yet fierce which was an interesting role for her. I would give Catwoman an 7/10. Not because she didn't act well, I just think that the character had more potential.

What was surprising was the introduction of Marion Cotillard! I have never seen her in a film before this so at first I didn't recognise her but WOW. she really is good. Maybe not a good Talia lol but a good actor none the less.... who would I have picked for Talia...

The wonderful Stana Katic.... Would have been BRILLIANT!

Can't dwell on that for to long though because of this fine gentleman...

And I find it sad to admit but I was looking less at the man that Christian Bale is and the Gentleman that is Joseph Gorden-Levitt...

There was a LOT of speculation surrounding which role he was going to play. Some people believed that he was going to replace HL as the Joker.. and I will admit that yes they do look similar, but it just wouldn't have been the same and I think a lot of others would have been very angry about this.

The next speculation was that JGL was going to play the riddler.. I was apart of this speculative group.... I think he would have done a good job.. Not a great one.. but good

(I just wanted the Riddler to be in the movie XD)

I don't think any of us were prepared though. His character ended up being the closest thing to a "Robin" character as I believe Nolan was willing to go. Truth be told.. I think JGL was in the movie more than CB was.. oh well ;)

Best actor goes to....

Hands down Michael Caine as Alfred... I CRIED, FRIGGIN BAWLED MY EYES OUT

He was soooooo good ZOMG <3

I would give The Dark Knight Rises.. a 9/10. It wasn't as good as The Dark Knight, but it was amazing none the less. A very good follow up to The Avengers.

Way to go DC!!



ZOMG Deadpool Game!!

That's right all you fellow nerds out there, Deadpool is getting his own game!!!

I do believe it was announced by IGN at ComiCon... Can't be positive as I was not there (sad face) Anywhoozle they announced the game with a kick ass trailer staring the man himself (duhhhh)

Honestly I almost wet myself when my brother showed me this. Yes my brother actually found this before I did because honestly I never thought that Deadpool would ever have a game. I think it was the same though for most people that he would just be one of the minor characters that you always hear about and want to hear more from, but is never actually brought to the forefront.

Now I aboslutly LOVE me some Deadpool. He's like a good bad guy, or a bad guy with good intentions.

EITHER WAY HE'S AWESOME!!

Super friggin badass in 10 kind of ways. I'm a huge fan of one of the comic series that's he's in called "Suicide Kings"

Yeah it also has DD and Punisher (don't really care about them) and there is a Spiderman cameo as well (now I do like him!!)

Anyways back on track.... Game

Activision gets the wonderful job of creating and publishing this game which I know for a fact is going to be amazing. You are not able to pre-order yet but the official website can be found HERE

Now all we need is for the suits at MARVEL to get the ball rolling on the Deadpool movie startin Ryan Reynolds

He played DP once already and I think he did a GREAT job at it. He's the perfect Deadpool (He would also make a great Flash....) but NOT a good Green Lantern. Green Lantern is to serious of a person to be played by RR.

You can bet your bumm I'm going to pre-order the game the second that I'm able to, and I'm hoping that it is at least on the same level as the Batman Arkham games.

I Hate Rain

I rally do hate it. Plus it rains here ALL the time, especially in the summer which just makes it suck more here cuz the humidity goes WAYYYY up.

Florida... you suck

Why to people insist that this is one of the "best" states to live in???

It sucks.

For one thing, thanks to all these theme parks there are tourists everywhere and NONE of them can drive!!! They have invesnted the GPS and cars can practically drive themselfs yet these people can't drive worth crap.

Either going all of 2 MPH or constantly cutting people off. They are a hazard to everyone who actually lives here. It really pisses me off when they don't speak english yet they get angry at YOU because you don't understand them. How dare I not speak their language!!!

I don't go around expecting everyone here to understand and speak Norwegian and or Icelandic... No I speak ENGLISH >=/

It also doesn't help that America puts almost everything in Spanish now... Some Cities in Florida speak only spanish. It's like they want people to keep coming to this country illegally.

Yes I do think illegal aliens should be kicked out. It's not like it's difficult to get it legaly!! Really you just fill out some papaers and wait. See... Not difficult.

If I go to a different country I'm not going to expect them to be able to speak English or whatever.. I'm going to make an effort to speak their native language. (and a bad effort at that ><)

Just c'mon people?!?! at least make an effort to blend in with the rest of society.



Wekend Update-- Again Not With Mr. Myers

Soooo unfortunatly most of my week was taken up by jury duty.. Seriously why the hell was I picked for that?!?! I'm (blank age) who the hell is going to want me on a jury?

Well apparently someone did because I got picked for a case and ended up in court for 3 days.

Anyways something I want to bring your atention to. If you notice on a lot of doctors websites they show honors they have recieved for being a "top ob/gyn" or "top dentist". Most of these people may not have even been specialized in these fields!!

In fact when you look at some of the people who have been given awards for being "Top Doc" guess who appears?? Dr. Conrad Murray. Yeah the guy who assisted in the death of Michael Jackson. That guy is supposedly one of the best doctors in the country.

OH!! I bought the first two season of Scooby Doo Where Are You? 

:D!!!!!

So excite ^^ I love cartoons from my childhood. (hehe I'm slowly giving away my age) I think it was only like $20 for the two seasons and I'm going to go back to get the 3rd Season, which is like... $10, and that makes sense. Oh I got it from Walmart (oh god I know right ><!!), but it was the only place I could find it without having to pay shipping.

Something to look forward to, I just got my new clothes from my favorite website which I wil tell you about in THAT post (TBA)

Most of the time when I buy a bunch of new stuff I will donate an equal ammount of old stuff. Sometimes I will up-cycle or give them to my mother when she does a garage sale. I NEVER just throw clothes away!

It makes me angry when I see some of these prissy girls that I used to go to school with. Like at the end of the year when it was time for all of us to clean out our lockers I would see these girls pull clothing items out, exlaim how they "totally forgot they had it", and then procede to throw it in the trash!

How wasteful and pathetic...

Anywhoozle there are dishes in the kitchen that are just SCREAMING my name and I've put off doing them for long enough now... better do them before someone gets angry.

When I found out that Andy Grifith dies I started bawling my eyes out. NEVER have I done that for a celebrity death. AG was so much more than a celebrity though. He was one of the nicest people to ever work in hollywood.

I grew up watching "The Andy Griffith show", and to this day I still watch it. Hell I have 4 of the seasons on DVD!! Me and my dad can spend hours watching the show and or talking endlessly about it.

My eyes are starting to water a little bit just thinking about his death, and I know everyone has to die eventually. It's just when an important person in your life dies it's a hard reality. Yes I know I have never met the man, but he was a big part of my childhood. ( Note: I was not a child when the show was originally aired... my dad was)

So hvile i fred (rest in peace) Sheriff. You will be missed by many people including me <3

Held Hostage By The M.A.C. Lady

Usually I don't have a problem with pushy sales people. I understand that you have to make certain sales numbers and all that. I work... kinda in a retail position but not really so I get it. What is not cool is when I go into a store for 2 things and end up in a chair with some lady, who is wearing WAYYY to much makeup for her age, making me look like a clown...

Even kjæresi said it was to much, and he usually doesn't have a problem with me wearing make-up. (yeah he rather prefers that I didn't wear it... but I love me some female war paint ^^) Litterally she put so much lip liner on me my lips looked 5X their normal size.. and they are already big to begin with!!

She was also trying to pimp out the M.A.C. skincare which I'm sorry is HORRIBLY over priced. I cleared up my skin with a good diet and drug store products.. and here she is saying I have to much reddness and my eyes are puffy and I need this to make me pretty, and my eyebrows are grown out -.-

If you want to sell me something DO NOT insult me, because now I don't like you and do not want to buy something from you.

I'm very glad that I don't actually live near that M.A.C. store so that I will never have to see her again. From now on I'm going to stick with the one near my house with the actual NICE sales people who actually answer my questions and don't have me running for a make-up wipe (which turns out I'm allergic to the MAC wipes).

In the end I left with what I went for in the first place (after spending 1 hour in that stupid chair)... waste of my life!!

They have some really cute bags BTW....

So as a quick lesson to all you sales people out there, when a person walks into your store looking for a specific product don't harrass them for an hour. maybe suggest something that you think they would like as well, let them try it, and if they don't want it at that time oh well! they could come back and buy it you never know... just don't be what this woman was. She not only annoyed the crap out of me but my boyfriend as well.



Accepting Who You Are...

This is something that I have struggled with my entire life. Never have a truly accepted who I am, and I don't even think I have begun to accept myself yet. I constantly wonder if there are other people who are in the same constant battle in their minds.... But of course there are!! I know for a fact I am not the only person in this world whom is confused on who or what I really am.

That is the big question isn't it..

WHO AM I??

Honestly.. I don't think any of us will really know who we truly are. Not until we die at least.. When we look back on our life and we see just who we were and will continue to be in the afterlife (which ever after-life you happen to believe in)

So what am I supposed to do??

How do I expect to go on without knowing. The same way I have been going on really... As a person.

 I have been asked by a psych major friend what stereotype I think I fit into (like that means anything?!?! let's be serious). I don't like stereotypes because no one ever fits them completly. There is no "norm" so stop trying to make one >=/

Hmmm ok let's see... I'll try to put myself into a stereotype...

The one I would fit into more Would be probably be the artistic... nerdy... idk -.- this is to difficult for me to even attempt to complete.

Anywhoozle. I am very bored on this... sunday afternoon/night so I thought I would talk about some things that mean aboluutly nothing to other people ^^

First I FINALLY got to see Rock of Ages. Brilliant movie, I just don't like Julianne Hough as an actor. She is a very god singer and dancer!! Don't get me wrong... Just a bad actor ^^

The best parts of the movie though were these guys

Holy shizbizkit!!! They were awesome!

Just amazing really... and the music! I love me some 80's rock music.

And I'm just saying.... I would probably bang Tom Cruise if he looked like this all the time

If he wasn't all of like... 5'6". I can't be with little guys >< I've tried

So what else is up... hmmmmm.... yes my life sucks! I just work most of the time. Don't get me wrong I love my job.... Just working full time stinks while trying to go to school. I guess it's still money. I need money cuz my ass is BROKE. Ok well not broke but I need a car. I hate having to walk everywhere! (especially because everything is so bloody far apart). Plus my job is 45 min away from my house.

But now I'm just sitting here watching Wild Wild West... probably one of the WORST western movies but a GOOD steampunk movie.
